Dive with
Oceanic Whitetip Sharks at Cat Island, Bahamas
View Original Description
Oceanic Whitetips are some of the most threatened pelagic sharks in the world. Notorious for their bold behavior, they are the quintessential open ocean predators.
Cat Island in the Bahamas is one of the world's best spots to dive with stunningly beautiful and infamous oceanic whitetip shark. Depleted in much of their range, the oceanic whitetip population of the outer Bahamian islands is still thriving, making this a unique 'last chance' encounter.
Cat Island juts into the deep water of the Atlantic Ocean where migrating tuna attract oceanic whitetips and other large predators rarely seen this close to shore.
