After experiencing much success at its original Vista location, Belching Beaver Brewery opened up its second tasting room for the brewery in 2013 in the heart of beer corridor in North Park. The 2,500-square-foot tasting room is home to two dozen taps that dispense Belching Beaver’s brews and accommodates up to 100 patrons. Silly in name, but serious about beer, brewmaster Troy Smith crafts a lineup of brews in distinct styles ranging from pale ales to stouts. In all their brews, Belching Beaver focuses first and foremost on the quality of its ingredients and freshness of its beer, which is available at the tasting room in samples, half-pints, full pints, growlers and kegs. Tasting room hours are Monday and Tuesday from 5-10 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday from 3-10 p.m., Friday from 3 to midnight, Saturday from noon to midnight, and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. Every Thursday is trivia night, as well as “Dueling Randalls” night where patrons can test their knowledge as well as two new fresh beer infusions each week.
