Drink Beer at Coronado Brewing Co. Brewery (Bay Park), San Diego, California
Coronado Brewing Company brought a larger version of its island microbrewery to San Diego’s mainland, with its inland port of call located in the heart of Bay Park near Tecolote Canyon. The proximity of the 20,000-square-foot production brewery and tasting room to mainland San Diegans means that patrons can enjoy samples of the brewery’s finest craft beers fresh from the tap, as well as in-house special releases and cask offerings.
What started as a micropub boasting abundantly hoppy West Coast-style ales has grown into an empire that includes the 30-barrel mainland brewhouse, which churns out 60,000 barrels annually. To cater to the taste buds of any craft beer lover, Coronado Brewing Company’s tasting room offers styles ranging from the bright and piney Idiot IPA to the silky smooth Blue Bridge Coffee Stout.
Tasting room hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tours are available for groups of 10 or less, and reservations must be made at least two days in advance.
