Take a step back in time on the Amish Country Byway is a historic drive through eastern Ohio's Amish communities. Holmes County in Ohio has the largest concentration of Amish communities in the world. Drive the 76 miles Dover to Loudonville with various detours to get the full experience.
This isn't a road trip for speed demons; to truly experience the Amish pace of life, slow down and enjoy the ride.
State Routes 557 and 515 are a two-lane north–south state highway. All of these highways are inclusive in the Amish Country Byway, an officially designated National Scenic Byway.
