The Moki Dugway (Utah Route 261) is near Mexican Hat in the Four Corners region of southeastern Utah. Driving along the flat road from Monument Valley up to Natural Bridges it seems as if your drive up what seems to be a 1,200 vertical cliff face - wondering where the road is going to go.
If you approach from the south you will have a nice surprise as you reach the Moki Dugway where it proceed up the 3-mile narrow gravel road that has an 10% grade and a series of tight switchbacks.
Toward the top, there's a pullout where motorists can take in sights — an elevated view of four states - Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah.
The road is usually in excellent condition and well maintained. Just go slowly and enjoy the views.
