Point Imperial is one of three sights along the North Rim that should absolutely be included on your Grand Canyon North Rim trip, the other two being Cape Royal and Bright Angel Point. At the end of the road is the parking area for some fantastic views. Point Imperial is 2.7 miles off Cape Royal Road. Access to this part of the park by car is seasonal, traditionally open from mid-May to mid-October or depending on snowcover from the previous winter.
