Drive Route de la Trace, Martinique
The Route de la Trace (N3) winds up into the mountains north from Fort-de-France in the direction of Morne Rouge on the island of Martinique. The road runs along the volcanic Pitons du Carbet through a lush rainforest of tall tree ferns with several well marked sign-posted hiking trails into the rainforest and up to the peaks.
