This Pacific Beach brewpub has all the makings of a San Diego beer lover’s dream. With its stunning ocean vistas, scrumptious Mediterranean-inspired fare, and refreshing house brews, there’s no better way to experience beer than on the sun-drenched patio at Amplified Ale Works. This nanobrewery cranks out double batch beers from its 3-barrel direct fired system, but with extra fermenters and serving tanks, Amplified is able to double its capacity and serve up at least four house beers on draft at all times. From light, refreshing Belgian blondes to big, juicy IPAs, Amplified really turns up the volume on its innovate brews. Because of its small batch brewing system, brewmaster Cy Henly is able to get creative with his recipes and have fun with the process. Thinking of himself as an independent architect of his craft, Henly enjoys the freedom of boundless brewing, which is evident in each craft beer he creates. The brewpub is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight.
