Eat at Dmytri's Original La Fonda Resturant, Baja California
La Fonda Hotel and Restaurant is a favorite spot to stop for food and drinks when heading south toward Encenada. It's famous for its Sunday brunch and a great place to watch the sunset.
The property has been in dispute for several years. At this point it seems Dimitry and Sara (original owners) are back at the south end of the property with the hotel and restaurant. There is still a restaurant at the north end (Gary Rettig - newer owner). Both still bear the name La Fonda, but the north one has had issues, while the south one is updated with live music and fine food.
It's located along the Rosarito - Ensenada free road at Km 59.5 - right before the road goes inland.
