Mercado de Matosinhos is located 9km from Porto city centre and you can get there by blue metro line. The market is located by the sea and fishermen area so you will experience a strong fish smell, like fresh and fried sardines, which is typical for the place. You can shop here fresh seafood and other ingredients but also you can sit down and try already cooked, delicious dishes. The atmosphere of the Market is very much local and friendly with reasonable prices.
