Explore Błędne Skały (Errant Rocks), Poland

Błędne Skały is a complex of rock blocks at an altitude of 853 m above sea level, forming a picturesque labyrinth located in south-west Poland in Stołowe Mountains National Park. Thick layers of sandstone have deposited at the bottom of the Upper Cretaceous sea. In the Tertiary, during the Alpine orogeny, they were raised along with the entire Sudetes. Then he began a long period of erosion and drainage weathered. As a result of the unequal resistance of individual rock layers to weathering and the widening of the crevices crossing the massif in three directions, corridors of varying width were created several meters deep.
