Delamar Valley, Nevada
View Original Description
Delamar Valley is one of the central Nevada desert basins and the southern portion of the Dry Lake Watershed, including a low point on the serpentine section of the Great Basin Divide in Nevada. Around 150 miles (or about 2.5 hours) northeast of Las Vegas, nearest the southeastern community of Caliente.
It has the largest rock art sites in southeastern Nevada, a dry lake bed with some uspace history and a ghost town.
There are several dirt roads from Great Basin Hwy (Route 93) to access the valley.
