Explore Devils Playground, Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona
Devil’s Playground is only accessible to a few people every year, and is an absolutely extraordinary landscape of bizarre eroded rock, hoodoos and badlands.
Three permits are available each week on a first-come-first-serve basis. Call the visitor center at 928 524-6228 x236 to find out the status of these permits. Permits cannot be set aside or saved. Please note that visitors take the access road to Devil's Playground at their own risk.
High-clearance vehicles are recommended but not required, and four-wheel drive is not necessary.
