The Gorges du Loup is the French equivalent to the Grand Canyon. The canyon is a great place to rock climb, hike, bungee jumping or just relax and take pictures. Also just getting there is worth the trip. Along the drive through the gorges there are a few places where you can stop and take photos.
The River Loup in France is 49 km long. It starts in Andon and ends in the Mediterranean Sea in Villeneuve-Loubet, near Cagnes-sur-Mer.
Its the town of Cipières the river turns south and flows through a narrow canyon called the Gorges du Loup near the town of Gourdon.
The word loup is often conceived as meaning wolf, but in the south of France it also means a bass.
