Explore Hverarönd (Hverir), Iceland

The hot spring area named Hverarönd (Hverir) in Iceland is east of Mt. Námafjall and is one of the high temperature areas in Iceland. When hiking around the area make sure to stay on the paths and do not cross the lines indicating the trail. People have sustained serious burns by going over the lines and too close to the boiling soil. There are fumaroles all around and sulphur streaks the red ground, but for some reason, the boiling mud is one of the unque thinsg to see here.
