Explore Hyatt Lake, Cascade–Siskiyou National Monument, Oregon

Situated at just a smidgen over 5,000 feet elevation, the Hyatt Lake Recreation Area is the only developed campground within the southwest Oregon national monument. The more than 50 campsites dot the southern end of the Hyatt Lake, nestled among the evergreen firs and pines, with views across the water of Mount McLoughlin to the north. There are also more primitive campsites, popular with kayakers and anglers because of easy boat parking, and a horse campground, too. Campers have easy access to the Pacific Crest Trail and are only minutes away from various other trailheads into the monument or nearby Soda Mountain Wilderness.
