Planty Nowackiego is the oldest park in Krakow's foothills and is located near the mouth of Wilga to the Vistula River. Planty was built in 1898.
An obelisk in honor of Maximilian force-Nowicki, zoologist, professor at the Jagiellonian University, researcher of fauna and flora of the Tatra, a pioneer of environmental protection in Poland.
