South Fyn (South Funen) Archipelago, Denmark
View Original Description
The UNESCO Global Geopark The South Fyn Archipelago is the story of a "drowned" ice age landscape. A dramatic rise in sea levels created the landscape that for the last 10,000 years has formed countless nature experiences. Sometimes called "The Garden of Denmark" for its long history as an agricultural site, it encompasses around 55 islands and islets nestled in some of the best sailing waters in the world.
