Explore Wai'anapanapa State Park, Maui, Hawaii

Secluded Wai'anapanapa State Park is a 122-acre wilderness boasting a rare black-sand beach, natural stone arch, hala tree forest, legendary cave and stone temple. The park is located near Hana, Maui, Hawaii. The park offer twelve cabins, lava tubes, blowholes, anchialine pools, a picnic area, and a shoreline hiking trail. Swimming is usually not safe due to strong waves and rip currents. To get there drive to the end of Waiʻanapanapa Road off Hana Highway, 53 miles (85 km) east of Kahului and about 44 miles east of Paia town. It's a must-stop destination on your way back from Hana (Mile Marker #32).
