Explore Waitawa Regional Park, New Zealand
The Waitawa Regional Park is a regional park that opened in 2013 in New Zealand. Waitawa has a campground for kayakers exploring the southeast coast, a sheltered bay safe for swimming and a network of walking, mountain biking and horse riding tracks and trails.
There are also many important cultural and heritage sites on this park, so keep to the formed tracks.
The park is on the coastline in the Auckland Region on Clevedon-Kawakawa road, about 50 km from central Auckland.
