Fly a
Hang Glider
View Original Description
If you have ever dreamed of flight or wondered what it would be like to pilot your own personal soaring craft, then you’re a perfect candidate to venture into the world of hang gliding. Most places to learn will have your first flights in a controlled environment, surfing the slopes of our small hills or sand dunes, only about 5 to 10 feet off the ground. Your will then typically move on to flying tandem with an instructor by your side where you will build on your experience in learning to fly the glider.
Most popular hang gliding regions have a number of schools, generally registered with and/or organized by national associations. Certification systems vary widely between countries, though around 10 days instruction to basic certification is standard.
