The upper 20 kilometers of the Little Snake River in the southwestern part of the state of Wyoming, across the border with Colorado, USA in the Sierra Madre Mountains, is considered one of the premier trout fishing streams in the world. Cutthroat, Rainbow, Brown and the elusive, aggressive Tiger Trout comprise the majority of the generous population of highly regarded catch sought after by Fly Fishermen. Lodges and highly trained guides located near the town of Savery, Wyoming can be found on both sides of the State line. The Little Snake River crisscrosses the border providing numerous streams, lakes and ponds loaded with fish before joining the Yampa River in northwestern Colorado. The town of Savery, Wyoming is located 65 kilometers north of Steamboat Springs, Colorado with its nearby airport (Yampa Valley Regional) serviced by a number of major airlines. The major international airport in Denver, Colorado is a 5 hour car trip away.
