Scaturchio, a gilded bakery whose Il Babà Vesuvio, Naples’s famous cake, is shaped like Vesuvius. The history of the Babà Vesuvio dates back to 1994, when the G7 took place in Naples. For the occasion, the pastry Giovanni Scaturchio, created a Babà in the shape of Vesuvius, with the clear intention of making known to the great of the earth the pastry art combined with the creativity of the Neapolitans. Immediately, our Babà Vesuvio, had a great success, so as to be patented in the name, in shape and in figurative sense, in 1995.
