Go in a Sauna in Finland
To better understand Finland and its people, getting familiar with sauna is a good starting point. This bathing ritual has been performed across Finland for thousands of years. There are five million inhabitants and over two million saunas in Finland - an average of one per household
Water was thrown on the hot stones to give off a vapour known as loyly. Each sauna has its own character and its own distinctive loyly - the better the loyly, the more enjoyable the sauna.
