Go Whale Watching off Augusta, Western Australia

Whale watching in Western Australia is best between May and December. This period coincides with the annual migration of humpback, southern right, and a rare blue whales along the WA coast. Humpback whales are most commonly seen during the northern migration, from August to November. Augusta is perfectly placed to view these spectacular wild animals as they make their way past, often stopping off for a rest and play. The Southern right whales use the shore line of Flinders bay to nurse their calves .
