Golf Maderas Golf Club, Poway, California
Maderas Golf Club in Poway, California (near San Diego) has some of the best views of any course in San Diego, except for Torrey Pines. This Johnny Miller-Robert Muir Graves design, which can play almost 7,200 yards, is nestled amongst rolling hills with rocky cliffs and outcroppings, five live waterfalls, three lakes and more than 40 acres of wildflowers.
The course features difficult greens that are large and lightning fast. It also has one elevated tee after another, a terrific Tuscany-style clubhouse and a very accommodating and friendly staff.
