Golf The Island Golf Club, Ireland
The Island Golf Club is one of the finest links golf courses in the world with towering sand dunes with well-shaped fairways weaving through them and some wonderfully set greens. As its name implies, the Island Golf Club is surrounded by water and from the club's opening in 1890 to as recently as 1973, it could only be accessed by boat.
The course's signature hole is the 13th, which is a lengthier par 3 at 220 yards.
Championship Length: 6,685 yards (Par: 71).
The course is hard to find, out in the middle of nowhere but worth the trip.
