Hike
Cliff Spring Trail, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
View Original Description
The Cliff Spring Trail is a 1.0 mile (1.6 km) round-trip hiking trail located on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona. It takes approximately 1 hour round-trip hiking time.
The trail meanders down a forested ravine and ends where a chest-high boulder rests under a large overhang. The spring is on the cliff side of the boulder. President Teddy Roosevelt camped here.
Do not drink the water as it may be contaminated. During dry years, the spring will dry up and there will be no water.
The Cliff Springs Trail begins directly across the road from a small pullout on a curve 0.3 miles (0.5 km) down the road from Cape Royal.
