Hike Goat Whiskers Trail, Catalina, California
The 1.2 mile Goat Whiskers Trail on Catalina Island provides sweeping views of the San Pedro Channel and looks down on several of the coves.
The Goat Whiskers trail intersects the West End Road at mile 3.8, on Cherry Cove’s west side. From the Isthmus take hike up the steep hill that leads to the West End Road and continue for 2.5 miles to the Goat Whiskers trailhead.
Note:You need a hiking permit before you start out. You can obtain one online (http://www.catalinaconservancy.org/) or at the Conservancy Explore store in Avalon, Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden, Nature Center at Avalon Canyon, Airport in the Sky, and Two Harbor Enterprises.
