The Grampians Peaks Trail is a world class, long distance walk that is currently being created to showcase the majesty of the Grampians National Park. Grampians Peak Trail will be 144 kilometre long when completed and will link Mount Zero, in the north of the park, to the Dunkeld township at the southern end.
Construction of the first stage of the Peaks Trail between Halls Gap and Borough Huts is almost complete.

The tail will connect the parks most spectacular peaks, from the massive sandstone outcrops around Mt Zero in the north to Mount Abrupt overlooking the Dunkeld township and the surrounding volcanic plains in the south. The Grampians Peaks Trail will wind through vegetation varying from low lying wetlands to high elevation woodlands. Walkers will experience natural beauty on a truly grand scale.
The full trail will provide walkers with an adventurous 13 day/12 night walk with opportunities to stay overnight along the walk. Walkers will have the opportunity to “step on and step off” the trail, enabling them to tailor their walk by choosing trip segments to suit their needs. This flexibility will enable a wide range of people to enjoy the trail and all it has to offer.
