Hike Parry Grove Trail, Torrey Pines State Reserve

Parry Grove Trail is a 1/2 mile loop in Torrey Pines State Beach. It has a steep entry/exit with over 100 stone steps. Drought and bark beetle infestation had devastated the Torrey pines in this grove, but it is recovering. The Whitaker Garden, a native plant garden, is at the trailhead. The High Point trailhead is at the other side of the rode from the Parry Grove Trail. This is a short but steep 100 yards with steps to the top of hill that offers a panoramic view of the Reserve, lagoon, and inland. Dogs are not permitted anywhere in the park.
