Hike Indian Canyons Trails, Palm Springs, California
This group of canyons has trails for hiking & horseback riding, plus picnic areas & a gift shop. There’s a fee to get in but it is the ancestral home of the Agua Caliente tribe and the world’s largest reserve of fan palm trees, which is quite impressive. You get a real idea of how native Americans existed in the desert while exploring the trails with the shade from the Palms and the waterfalls.
