Hike Massacre Grounds Trail to Massacre Falls, Superstition Wilderness, Arizona

The beautiful spot at the far northwestern edge of the Superstition Wilderness is the site of an 1848 ambush where a group of Spanish miners met their demise at the hands of a band of irate Apaches. Massacre Grounds Trail is a moderate 5.5-mile out-and-back trail in the Superstition Mountains that leads to a seasonal waterfall, Massacre Falls.
