Okolehao Trail is a 4.6 mile trail located near Hanaleion the north shore of Kauai. It's a challenging climb with a 1,232 foot elevation climb, but it rewards hikers with stunning views. Okolehao is a moderate trail when it's dry but can get difficult when it gets muddy. There is a bench 1.25 miles in that allowing you to sit and enjoy the view before coming back down. Go past the bench for some additional challenges. The ridge goes downward for some before turning upward. Much of the trail you need to use the ropes that are there to climb up the near vertical step.
