Hike Stonewall Mine/Los Vaqueros Loop, Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, California
The Stonewall Mine/Los Vaqueros Loop is 5.3 miles (longer or shorter loops possible) and offers a visit to the Stonewall Mine, which operated from 1870 to 1923, is one of the park’s most visited destinations.
The trailhead is located just south of Lake Cuyamaca on the east side of Highway 79 (9.5 miles south of Julian, 3.7 miles south of the split with the Sunrise Highway and 13.4 miles north of Interstate 8).
Chemical toilet at the trail head; vault style toilets at the mine site; full restrooms at Los Vaqueros Group Horse Camp
