Hike to Boulder Cabin & Old Truck, Joshua Tree National Park, California
Boulder Cabin is located up Desert Queen Wash in Joshua Tree National Park. This hike is a continuation of the hike to Johns Camp & Gold Hill Mine. After finishing exploring the Gold Hill Mine, continued northwest up the Desert Queen Wash.
After hiking less than two hundred yards from the mine workings, there are big rocks blocking the wash.
Boulder Cabin has some remains of the walls and a small furnace, or kiln, is located downslope of it. Also nearby is the remains of an old Model T truck. There's no engine, no wheels, and no tires.
This wash will continue all the way to the Desert Queen Mine, if one is so inclined to continue all the way along its course.
