A rough cairn made of local stones and wreckage of the aircraft undercarriage topped by a wooden cross with a small metal plaque with a badge on the cross. This Halifax bomber (serial number: LL505 "S for Sugar") crashed on 22 November 1944. The 8 crew members (7 Canadian and 1 British) were killed in the crash. Parts of the wreckage of the aircraft are lying next to the memorial.
