Hike to Linton Lake, Oregon
Beginning at Linton Lake Trailhead, Linton Lake Trail #3519 heads east, immediately entering the Three Sisters Wilderness. The trail begins in undulating terrain through a mixed conifer forest before switching back up a historic lava flow. The trail continues over the flow east to the northern edge of Linton Lake, ending where Obsidian Creek enters Linton Lake.
Note: Many user trails exist where Linton Lake Trail #3519 ends at Obsidian Creek. These user trails are not maintained.
From McKenzie Bridge, OR, travel east on Highway 126 to Highway 242. Travel east on Highway 242 for 11 miles to the parking area at Alder Springs Campground on the north side of the highway. Linton Lake Trailhead is directly across the highway south from the parking area.
