Hike to Mollie Mine (Palo Verde Canyon), Santa Rosa Mountains, California
Mollie Mine (Moly Mine; Molly Mine) is located in the Santa Rosa Mountains north of Anza Borrego State Park. The trialhead is at the parking spot off Hwy S22 where the W Truckhaven Trail starts going west. Hike north going up Palo Verde Canyon.
The mine was worked 1927 to 1932. It was owned by Mollie and Frank Clark, who had a home on a ledge W of the Palo Verde Wash. The workings consisted of 2 adits, each about 50 ft long, following 2 promising quartz veins.
