Hike to Torrent Falls Via Ferrata, Red River Gorge, Kentucky
This Torrent Falls route was the first commercially operated via ferrata in the United States (it opened in 2001). The 0.7-mile-long route is broken into six sections that are varying difficulty. The route goes behind Torrent Falls. The fourth segment is 120 feet off the ground, standing on a skinny piece of iron.
Trailhead is at Torrent Falls Visitor Center. Day pass required ($48 in 2022); reserve at (606) 668-6613 and sign in at the Torrent Falls Visitor Center.
