Hike Trestle Creek Falls Loop, Oregon

Starting near Brice Creek Trail’s eastern terminus, the first half of this trail climbs through a forested landscape into the upper portion of Trestle Creek. After 1.5 miles, the trail enters a lush fern grotto and passes behind the upper segment of a 65-foot, two-tiered waterfall. Passing behind the waterfall in the springtime when the falls are at its highest flow is a remarkable experience. The remaining mile of trail descends back through forest towards Brice Creek Trail. From here you can either hike 0.7 miles east along Brice Creek Trail to Champion Creek Trailhead or 0.8 miles west to Lund Park Campground. This trail is often done in conjunction with Trestle Creek Trail #1403C. Trestle Creek Trail is a narrow trail that meanders through Trestle Creek canyon and its surrounding old-growth forest, offering views of maidenhair fern, bleeding heart, Douglas fir, and cedar along the way. The trail culminates at the base of a 60-foot fan waterfall nestled in a lush, moss-covered rock grotto. Hobo Camp is a small, roadside camp located along Forest Road 2470 that’s just right for your low-key, relaxing weekend. A short but winding trail leads to the rocky shore of Brice Creek, while nearby Hobo Creek offers opportunities for exploration and photography. 4 campsites with picnic tables and fire pits 1 group campsite with 2 picnic tables and large fire pit Vault toilet No garbage disposal - Please pack it out No drinking water From Cottage Grove, OR, travel east on Row River Road 2400 for 19 miles to the junction of Layng Creek Road 17 and Brice Creek Road 2470. Turn right on Brice Creek Road 2470 and continue for another 8.2 miles to the Champion Creek Trailhead for Brice Creek Trail. The trailhead is located approximately 25 miles southeast of Cottage Grove, OR.
