Hike Upper Santa Ysabel Creek, California
Upper Santa Ysabel Creek is about 7.3 miles long and located near Julian, California. The trail is great for hiking and normally takes 3-4 hours. This hike starts off near a creek and continues through a grassy meadow with lots of cows enjoy the local fare. The hike is mostly flat with a steep incline to the top which has great views of the surrounding area. The cows seem plenty gentle but you get the feeling you are invading their space. We hiked on a Friday afternoon and didn't see a single person. Afterwards, head in to Julian for some apple pie! A great reward after a pretty great hike.
