Hike Widforss Trail, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Widforss Trail is a 9.8 miles (15.8 km) round-trip hike on the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. The trail follows the canyon rim for approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) and then heads into the forest to emerge at Widforss Point. It's at an altitude of 8,000 feet (2,500 m) so even the most relaxed stroll can be exhausting. It takes approximately 6 hours round-trip hiking time. Take the Point Sublime Trail dirt road 1/4 mile (0.4 km) south of Cape Royal Road turn off for 1 mile (1.6 km) to the Widforss Trail parking area. Access to this part of the park by car is seasonal, traditionally open from mid-May to mid-October or depending on snowcover from the previous winter.
