Visit Honen-In Temple, Kyoto, Japan
The Honen-In Temple is located in Kyoto, Japan. The black Amida Buddha here is one of the most sublime Buddha images in all Japan.
The main building is open to the public twice a year, from April 1st to 7th and November 1st to 7th, and requires a small offering of money. This is an independent Jodo-shu temple.
