Make sure to swim out to the landing spot to make sure not underwater obstructions exists and that it’s is truly deep enough. You also need to make sure the launching point is stable and the cliff face is vertical enough to make sure you clear it.
Once that is all set it’s time to build up your nerves and take the plunge. Once you jump make sure to keep your eye on the landing spot and to keep you feet together. It’s also a good idea to keep at least one hand on your chin under the nose to keep water from flushing you nasal cavity. Once you hit the water spread your arms to help slow down your decent.
Cliff diving puts tremendous stress on the body. Even a low jump of 6 m (20 ft) will have the body hit the water at 40 km/h (25 mph) – an impact strong enough to cause people to suffer a concussion, compress the spine or break bones.
Warning: This can be very dangerous. Do this at your own risk and only for skilled divers.
