Kayak Kāneʻohe Bay, Oahu, Hawaii
Kāneʻohe Bay on on Oahu’s Windward (eastern) side offers kayakers calm waters in this huge, sheltered and shallow bay. The bay is more than 17 square miles and home to one of Hawaii’s two barrier reefs (the other is off Molokai). It also has two tiny offshore islands—Mololii (a.k.a. Chinaman’s Hat) and Moku o Loe (Coconut Island).
