Langtang is a beautiful trek in the Himalayas. Lying 30 km north of Kathmandu it is an accessible trekking region in Nepal. The trek starts from Syabrubensi The trail gradually ascends upstream along the Bhote Kosi river, passing through the forests of the Langtang valley to the alpine meadows and yak pastures around Kyangjin. After an ascent of Kyangjin Ri [4350m.], from where the 360 degree mountain views are truly spectacular, the trail retraces to Syabru. From there continue trek to the sacred Gosainkund lake situated at an elevation of 4336 meter. Then trek southeast towards Kathmandu Valley crossing the high Laurebina yak pass and enjoying the beautiful Sherpa region of Helambu.
