Visit LAVA Centre, Hvolsvöllur, Iceland
LAVA Centre is a state of the art Volcano and Earthquake exhibition and the gateway to Iceland's most active volcanic area. It is a high-tech interactive exhibition with a earthquake simulator, a virtual eruption room and other amazing exhibits. The Exhibition has received numerous awards and is the perfect destination for all interested in learning more about this island of fire and ice. The museum is very accessible and suits children and the elderly as well as those that are physically impaired. LAVA Centre is situated at Hvolsvöllur, on the main road leading to the South Coast of Iceland, 1 hour from Reykjavík and only 20 minutes from the first big waterfall on the South Coast, Seljalandsfoss. The Centre also has a beautiful gift shop.
