Off-road Blair Valley & Little Blair Valley, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California

Anza Borrego State Park is the largest state park in the nation. It offers many 4X4/ADV opportunities for winter time riding in Southern California. Blair Valley has a nice loop that has lots of camping spots but with only one pit toilet near the S-2. The road is sandy in areas and has some wash board. A dry lake called Little Blair valley is also part of the loop. They don't allow campfires unless the fire is in an enclosed raised container. A couple stores are in the area one at Butter Field Ranch. The closest restaurant is in Julian. The best times to camp here are in Fall, Winter and Spring. Except clear star filled sky's and coyotes and owls at night. A popular hike from Blair Valley leaves to Native American pictographs. From Julian head down Banner grade continue east on HWY 78 to HWY S2. The campground is about 5 miles down this road and will be on the east side of the road. Source: Dirtopia
