Off-road & Camp Hawk Canyon, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California
Hawk Canyon is located in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California. The beautiful sandstone cliffs of the area are evidence of an ancient marine environment. In spring, this small canyon can be full of flowers with dozens of species.
Hawk canyon is one of the finest drive-in camping areas in Anza-Borrego.
Take 78 go east 1.3 miles past Borrego Valley Road to Buttes Pass Road (Borrego Mountain Wash) and go north. Turn right at Buttes Pass. The left left is into Hawk Canyon. The roads are recommended only for vehicles with four-wheel drive.
